1. It’s a very enjoyable experience (if you let it be).

Really—it can be enjoyable if you just use the time as "MY TIME".
You lie down on a bed (ours is really comfy) and close your eyes for about 45 mins for individual extension and about 25 minutes for party lashes while calming music plays in the background and a technician attaches little feathery nothings to your lashes. It really is relaxing and a great excuse for a socially acceptable power nap.

2. Every lash extension experience is customisable.

We try and keep you the client as involved as possible to give you the look that you want. We carry extension lengths from 9mm to 15mm so you can be as natural to as dramatic as you want. The sweet spot and most popular are 10mm to 12mm. For Curl types we stock the J curl for a more natural look and the C curl for a more dramatic look. For the material of the actual lash we use high quality silk lashes as these have the least chance of causing allergies or reactions with human skin and eyes.

3. Eyelash extensions CAN last longer than you think.

With proper care, you could get your eyelash extensions to last upto 6 weeks. Most salons recommend you come back every 2-3 weeks for a touch up, but if you’re looking to save a bit of money, (and who isn't) you can extend their lifespan by using a few simple techniques like not to get (excessive) water on your lashes and not to use oily products on or near your eyes. Oils can react to the glue on the eyelash extensions making them come off. Most importantly, stay away from mascara entirely as it leaves the extensions crusty and damaged. It's only really a good idea if you're at the end of your lash cycle and will be getting a fresh set in a few days.

5. Extensions can (and do) ruin your eyelashes—but they really don’t have to.

We recommend not making the mistake of pulling out the extensions yourself, not only is it extremely painful but it leaves you with few to no natural eyelashes left. Those that are left are weak and limp. However, after what we like to call the intense “eyelash rehab” program of applying Vaseline or a store bought eyelash serum to your lashes every night, your natural eyelashes will be back to normal after a month or so.

6. The only way to get rid of eyelash extensions is to get them professionally removed OR let them fall out naturally.

Having the extensions removed is as easy as having them put on, painless & relatively quick. Every salon will have this service available and at Afreen Fashion & Beauty we will remove lashes even if you have had them applied elesewhere. If you're not looking to spend any more money, however, the extensions do fall out with the natural shedding of your lashes. This is a much slower process, but it is free. :)
